Parallel Data Warehouse Solution

SE has completed Microsoft’s FastTrack and Parallel Data Warehouse (PDW) training and we are actively working with customers to take advantage of this new product for mission-critical environments.  We have architects ready to support customers with assessments, POC initiatives, implementations and other data management services.

HP and Microsoft have created a scalable, high performing SQL Server Parallel Data Warehouse solution that provides a single view of information across the enterprise. The product is an integrated, all-in-one hardware and software solution that is easier to deploy, operate and manage than traditional, proprietary data warehouse offerings.

Faster and More Scalable: The Parallel Data Warehouse solution is 10 times more scalable and responds to queries up to 100 times faster than traditional SQL Server data warehouse deployments. The new data warehouse solution works with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse MPP architecture to create a massively scalable, easy-to-manage appliance that can grow from 48 to more than 500 terabytes of information, without impact to performance.

Based on HP Converged Infrastructure, the new solution is jointly pre-configured, tested and optimized with best practices from HP and Microsoft. It utilizes HP ProLiant DL360 and DL380 G7 servers, as well as HP StorageWorks MSA P2000 storage, to provide increased performance per compute node with fewer racks in less space.

The new Microsoft Parallel Data Warehouse solution provides clients an improved method to store and access data as well as a replacement option for older, proprietary data warehouse appliances that have reached their capacity limits. With faster deployment and tight integration with the industry’s most popular tools for analysis and data access, it solves complex requirements for strategic business decisions.  It also improves data quality, enabling clients to meet stringent governance requirements.
